{Real Wedding} Tanya + Mark David, Oakland

Part II-The Reception

Earlier this week I shared Part I-The Ceremony, of this amazing wedding, beautifully photographed by Amy Ellis Photography.  If you didn't see it, {and you should!} the ceremony was a very traditional Mexican Catholic celebration, full of many cultural elements that are truly breathtaking.

The Reception sheds another light, a very festive light.  There is a mariachi band, tequila is pouring, people are dancing, it's a fiesta for sure!

Before we get to the festivities, I must mention the bridal party was one of the largest I've ever seen-19 people!!

And now begins this festive wedding reception, at The Terrace Room in Oakland, California.

This was such a fun and lively wedding! I love the contrast of the ceremonial celebration and the festive party atmosphere, which Amy captured so well!  I love the image of the bride carrying a bottle of tequila-that to me says this party lasted all night long! A lot of laughs, a lot of smiles, so much joy for this couple!

Many thanks to Amy Ellis Photography for sharing your beautiful work with us!
