Happy Thursday everybody! The weekend is just around the corner, and that means our return to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico for a wedding this weekend! So excited to see friends get married, where we have celebrated our honeymoon & anniversary-same resort in fact! This will be the first wedding to attend since our own wedding, and a first ever destination wedding! It will definitely be a reunion of sorts, and what a better place to be surrounded by friends from college days, than in Mexico! So can't wait...
As a means to procrastinate in packing, I've decided to share another beautiful wedding, sent to me from Scarlett and Stephen Photography This wedding is really beautiful, set at Amelia Island Plantation, in Florida. I don't know if it is the weeping willows, the fact that the bride created her own wedding cake, or that this couple is truly smitten and in love, but I am loving every shot.
Here is a little note that Scarlett and Stephen shared on Brielle & Paul's wedding:Brielle had waited a long time for this day, not only because she was marrying her best friend, but because, she finally got to make her own wedding cake. As a lead baker at Omni’s Amelia Island Plantation, she is used to making other people’s wedding cakes, but for her own day, she created a 3 tiered ribbon fondant cake that was super yummy! Paul, also an event manager at Ritz Carlton, has helped host many weddings, but was excited to now be part of his own wedding. Both Brielle and Paul actually met at Ritz Carlton when Brielle was a pastry intern underneath Paul’s baker position at the hotel. Paul found a way to make sure he was the one training Brielle, and a week later, he asked her out. They have been together ever since, followed by a beach proposal!
Behold the beautiful imagery of Scarlett and Stephen Photography!
Stunning, isn't it?! Brielle makes a gorgeous bride with her amazing dress and sweet up-do. The images of her alone are breathtaking with the beautiful scenery.
I do love the color of the bridesmaid dresses, they work so beautifully when paired with the colorful bouquets. The color palette is perfect for end of summer, which this was set in September 2011. The centerpieces and floral touches throughout the venue make for a cheery and elegant ambiance.
By the way, how sweet is the chef's hate for the bride?! How many brides can say they made their own wedding cake?
Many thanks to Scarlett and Stephen Photography for submitting another beautiful wedding to the blog!
