{Real Weddings} Simona + Ken's St. Augustine Wedding

Happy Tuesday!  The blog has been a bit quiet lately, due to a horrible head cold & just plain being busy, which is why I probably got so sick.  However, I had a beautiful wedding come my way, which was submitted to me via Two Bright Lights, that cheered me right up and put me back in the mood to blog again!

The colors & details of this wedding, photographed by Scarlett and Stephen, are truly beautiful. Lots of purple, orange, an amazing pair of heels, & so much more!

Here's a little blurb from the photographers about the beautiful couple:
For Simona and Ken's table assignments, they had luggage tags to represent all the traveling and moving around the world they have done during the course of their relationship since college. These two are now settled down in New York City, but had a destination wedding in St. Augustine to come back to Florida where they met in college. Part Indian, at the reception Simona and Ken participated in a traditional Indian marriage ( lavana ) ceremony going around the sacred fire ( represented by candles on the floor ) to honor that part of her heritage. As they read their vows and answered, "I agree" walking hand in hand around the circle, it was a sweet representation of what weddings are all about... two families coming together as one.

I present to you, the beautiful photography of Scarlett and Stephen.

I am loving the beautiful pops of purple & lime green throughout.  I love the dessert table, filled with purple and green candies, cupcakes & that cake!  I also love the use of the wishing tree.  And, the shoes?  Anybody?  LOVE THEM!

My fave image has to be the top image, with the bride facing the orange wall, with her beautiful bouquet down by her side.  It's an artistic shot for sure.

Many thanks to Scarlett and Stephen for sending in another great wedding!

Isn't the cake something else?! It is a great architectural piece of art! Thanks for stopping by the blog, Aleah!
