I am loving this wedding submission today from Greg Howard Photography! The colors and scenery are just gorgeous. I love the Pacific Northwest, and this British Columbia setting is superb for an outdoor summer wedding. The thick treeline is so green and lush, it's really divine.
Included with this submission was a little note from Corrine the bride, it's a really sweet story, I just had to share it:Fyfe planned what he called "Fyfe and Corrine day". We went on a Sunday afternoon hike in Pitt Meadows to Goose Lake. Fyfe had been hiking to Goose Lake since he was 13 years old. He had very rarely seen anyone at the lake but on this Sunday afternoon a dozen teenagers took over the small lake with a sound system, a canoe and some tents. Fyfe was really bummed and I had no idea why! We ate our lunch and then we headed back to his parents house to do some work on a kitchen table that we were building for our new apartment. His parents were away for the weekend so it was just the two of us. Fyfe asked me to sit down at the kitchen table so I could let him know if the table was the correct height for the chairs. The next thing I knew our little dog walked into the garage with a huge box on her back. The box was strapped to her harness and it had a giant pink bow on top. Fyfe was down on one knee. When he asked me to marry him I jumped on him as I was saying yes! My father passed away when I was 19. A few weeks prior to the proposal Fyfe and I were spending time at my fathers grave and while we were there he asked for his permission.
Aww, I love that last bit, so touching! I also love the way Fyfe proposed, with the little pup as the messenger!
Well, here is Corrine & Fyfe's beautiful outdoor wedding, featuring Greg Howard Photography:
These two make such a beautiful couple! I love Corrine's dress, and the beautiful buttercream yellow colored bridesmaid gowns-perfect for the summer. The bouquet was an excellent choice, with the pops of red against the white and yellow buds.
I love the first glance images as she approached her husband to be. Their reactions and endearing glances are priceless. I also love the fact that everyone had a little fun with their poses. The guys in the trees reminds me a bit of Twilight!
Many thanks again to Greg Howard Photography for submitting this beautiful wedding to our blog!
