Well, I'm not in labor, as I thought I might be on this Labor Day, so I am able to continue blogging away! Who knows when this little bean will enter the world...I'm hoping really soon! Pack up your bags, little girl, it's time to move out and join your family!
Today I am honored to be sharing a special engagement shoot, fitting for the patriotic holiday, and a first for the blog, submitted via Two Bright Lights from Emily at Flom Designs Photography. Today's couple, Bobbie & Travis, met in the military, and ended up being stationed in Iraq. Bobbie has shared with us a little insight into their meeting and engagement.
In september 2005 we were both ordered to active duty for the Army National Guard to deploy to Iraq. We were in the same platoon, same squad, same team- after 6 months of training together in Camp Shelby we became close friends. We shipped out to Iraq March 2006, landed in Kuwait April 1st, we road side by side the whole way. After 16 months in another country, the rest is history. Christmas 2010, we woke up in the morning and cuddled with our little puppies. Once we got out of bed and poured some mimosas we started opening presents! As I sat on the floor Trav said, "oh, I forgot I have one more present, hold on!" After a few moments he yelled from our bedroom, "come in here". As I turned the corner I saw Travis had crawled half way under the bed, as I said "what are your doing?" He popped up, ring in hand and said "will you marry me?"
What a way to meet, to then be assigned to active duty together, to then decide to become husband and wife! Aww, I have chills.

What a cute couple! Love that they included their sweet pups to be apart of the shoot! We have the pleasure to share their wedding photos, which are a must see! Click here to view their spectacular wedding at Glensheen Mansion.
We wanted to send a big shout out and thank you to both Bobbie and Travis for their time and services spent in the military in order to protect us all. Your hard work and loyalty to the country is much appreciated and with much gratitude.
Many thanks to Erin with Flom Designs Photography for the submission!
