{Real Weddings} Bobbie & Travis's Glensheen Mansion Wedding

We are thrilled with today's featured wedding!  We previously shared this couple's engagement shoot, where they showed their patriotic pride for their country and love for one another.  To see Bobbie & Travis's engagement shoot, click here.

In their engagement shoot, Bobbie, the gorgeous bride, shared that she and Travis met while in the armed services, and even endured active duty in Iraq together.  She also goes on to share their sweet Christmas engagement, joined by their adorable pups.  She shares with us now a little bit about their big day:
We knew when we got engaged we wanted something different for our wedding, something that would stand out amongst, the many other weddings our guests had attended. We also knew we didn't want to move from one venue to another so having a tented reception next to Lake Superior on the grounds of the Glensheen Mansion in Duluth MN was the perfect plan for us.

We loved our DIY programs. The programs were card stock with a Popsicle stick in the middle so that the guests could use them as a fan. One side of the program listed our ceremony details and the other we divided to print 1 game out of three- crossword, Madlib, or fill in the blank. We think these were a fun and creative way to spice things up!

Many of the reception touches were DIY as well. the centerpieces, card box, and wishing tree guest book. Instead of the usual place cards, we bought personalized wine glasses for the bridesmaids and for the groomsmen, beer boots. For our sweet flower girl we found a toddler cup and snack container we had personalized with our colors and her name. For our rough playing ring bearers we found tumbler cups on Etsy that said "ring security" and personalized with their names.

You are sure to enjoy Bobbie & Travis's beautiful wedding, all captured by Flom Designs Photography:

What a gorgeous wedding for these two!  The venue is amazing, so stately and elegant! Love the stairways that lead up to the landing, for all to view the nuptials from below, very regal!

I am loving Bobbie's dress, it is so beautiful, and works with the venue.  I love how her bridesmaids signed her shoes, so cute!  I'm also loving the cream hued tuxes!  There seems to be a trend lately with men going the lighter hued tux route, it works really well for a summer wedding.

The tribute table is a very touching gesture, as a means to show remembrance for fallen soldiers and loved ones lost.

The DIY details are so clever, and well done.  Love the wishing tree & the programs, so cute!

And of course the precious pups made their way to celebrate the big day with everyone, which I was curious if they'd make an appearance!

We want to send a big congrats and our best wishes to Bobbie & Travis on your recent nuptials!

Thanks to Flom Designs Photography for both of the submissions!
