Mariko shared this sweet note about her and Adam's wedding day, and the start of their life together:
We didn’t have much time for planning as we decided to have the wedding only two months prior to the wedding date. My parents and Adam’s sister happened to visit in Seattle on the same week, so we decided to have our wedding on July 15th. I worked in Hawaii as a wedding videographer and I wanted to have a wedding by the water like Hawaii. The Woodmark Hotel was the perfect setting along Lake Washington.
My favorite moment at the wedding was walking down the aisle. It was wonderful walking with my parents. As I walked, I saw Adam getting emotional as I got closer and closer. He had tear in his eyes and that made me cry for happiness. We both looked at each other with tears and all my emotions came up. That moment was truly the happiest moment of my life. I felt excited for our life together.
Please enjoy Mariko & Adam's beautiful wedding video, captured by Katie and Joshua Studios:
I love the combination of cultures present, such as the Jewish tradition of the breaking of glass, and the Japanese tradition of cutting the cake with a samuri sword. Very cool with the sword, by the way, I had no idea that was a tradition!
Our thanks to Katie and Joshua Studios for submitting this gorgeous wedding our way!
