{Real Weddings} Rebecca & Devon's Gorgeous Leo Carrillo Ranch Wedding

What are your favorite color combos? Have you had success in finding everything just right for your wedding, and in the right shades? Have you gone to Pinterest to help you with ideas? It can be a tricky thing to piece together your event's color palette, or it can be easy.  Does a venue sway you with your color choices? When I was getting married, which was pre-Pinterest, I looked to Phoenix Art Museum, and wanted a bold palette of black, white & raspberry.  When that venue didn't work out, where we ended up, and which was more perfect for us, was at The Wright House, in the Provence Garden, with the chosen palette of lavender, champagne, sage and chocolate. That bold palette of black, white and raspberry just didn't look right at that venue, which reflects a garden found in Provence, France.  It was what I wanted all along anyway, and so glad it worked out that way. I'm curious to know if you have one color combo in mind, and that is it regardless of venue, or if you will change it to fit the venue.

If you want to know one of my favorite color combos now, you can look no further than in this post! Today's featured wedding, submitted to us by Continuum Wedding Photography, has a gorgeous palette of coral pinks, turquoise and grays.  Oh how I swoon! It is perfect for an outdoor summer wedding, especially in Carlsbad, California, where this wedding takes place.

Melissa with Continuum Wedding Photography shared a little bit about Rebecca & Devons' wedding with us:
From the beginning, Devon & Rebecca knew they wanted to host a wedding that was a reflection of their personalities. Both with a simple, elegant style the Leo Carrillo Ranch was the perfect venue. With it's amazing landscaping and homey vibe their reception was reminiscent of a backyard BBQ. Rebecca is from South Carolina so she knew she wanted to add a few southern touches to her wedding. From her sweet tea lemonade signature drink to her cowboy boots, the wedding oozed of southern charm. Rebecca also chose simple details for her wedding such as burlap table runners, mason jars filled with babies breath, and homemade jam for guest favors.

Such a lovely wedding for an equally lovely couple! It evokes a very cheerful vibe, wouldn't you agree? The "first glance" scenes are really tender and so sweet.  I love the image when Rebecca is right behind Devon, and the excitement in his eyes and smile before he turns around to see his bride...awww! Can I go back and do that at my own wedding? I've seen first glances before, but this one was captured so well, it gives me goosebumps.  Brides, if you are going to do photos before the wedding, which means a "first glance" will be shot, and you love how this turned out, pin these images and share this with your photog! Better yet, if you are in the San Diego vicinity, call up Continuum Wedding Photography to do your wedding!

I am in love with the Leo Carrillo Ranch! What an awesome place for a wedding.  It's got that Spanish Mission feel to it, with a little bit of rustic western ranch. It's perfect with the lush greenery surrounding, and vibrant blue sky above.

Let's talk about Rebecca's dress...I don't know the designer or where she purchased it, but it is so elegant and stunning. I love the lace detailing, the neckline and how it opens in the back like that.  It's perfect for an outdoor summer wedding in California, for sure.  I mustn't leave out the yummy Badgley Mischka shoes, for they accompany the dress so well!

As I mentioned at the top of the post I am so swooning over the color palette.  Isn't it beautiful? I love the different shades of coral pinks simply paired with turquoise jewelry! The groomsmen and groom's grey suits are so gorgeous when paired with the bridesmaids dresses, it is really all stunning together.

My favorite details of Rebecca & Devon's wedding reception are the chalkboard signs, mason jars and burlap.  I love the big "family tree" sign that serves as a "welcome" sign of sorts.  The font on it is gorgeous, by the way! If you know the font, please share it! The favors of homemade peach jam, with those cute "American Gothic" inspired tags are so sweet.  It's great to see couple sharing homemade items like that with their guests.  It makes it extra special, and completely made with love.
