{Bridal Fashion} Glass Slippers by Stuart Weitzman

The other day I received an email from a representative at Stuart Weitzman-you know, the amazing shoe designer to the stars?  By the way, Stuart Weitzman captured my interest with those amazing diamond stilettos made especially for the 2002 Academy Awards...do you remember those? The actress who wore them, Laura Herrig, known for her roles in Mulholland Drive & Gossip Girl (Chuck Bass's mom), had to have 3 bodyguards at her side to keep her and those sparkly shoes protected!

Anyway, back to the press release, which I am not accustomed to receiving, it caught my attention, and I thought you lovelies might enjoy what I am about to share with you.  How can you top a diamond stiletto?  Well, you can't, however, what about a glass slipper?!  Yup! A beautiful glass slipper has been created by the shoe maker genius! Here's the press release sharing this great addition to the amazing line of Stuart Weitzman shoes:
Clearly Timeless Stuart Weitzman Collection

NEW YORK, NY – He’s been called the King of the Red Carpet, and now he’s the Prince of the Pump. Stuart Weitzman has been named the official designer of the glass slipper being worn in the first-ever Broadway production of Rodgers + Hammerstein’s CINDERELLA: his one-of-a-kind creation makes its dazzling debut in the musical at the Broadway Theatre (1681 Broadway) in New York City.   Weitzman will also bring the fairytale to life for consumers with the launch of his “Clearly Timeless” capsule collection inspired by the lush, romantic musical.
Stuart Weitzman has been creating fantasy-worthy footwear for real life royalty -- and women with real lives -- for over 26 years. His philosophy of form and function also proves a perfect fit for CINDERELLA star Laura Osnes, whose role in the show requires a shoe that both enchants audiences and allows her to dance effortlessly onstage. The result is a stunning transparent vinyl silhouette encrusted with more than five thousand iridescent Swarovski crystals.  The glass slippers are the ideal accessory for the CINDERELLA costumes designed by the renowned, five-time Tony Award-winning designer William Ivey Long.  What is every girl’s first memory of shoes? Cinderella’s glass slipper. Something as simple and accessible as a beautiful shoe can make a woman feel like a princess,” says Weitzman. “Who wouldn’t want to be Cinderella for a night? When asked to re-create the iconic slipper for the new Broadway production, I jumped at the chance.”
The magic of CINDERELLA continues for all women with Weitzman’s “Clearly Timeless” capsule collection, featuring a glass-slipper-inspired pump, a peep-toe slingback and a strappy sandal. The vinyl silhouettes and Lucite heels -- all bedecked with Swarovski crystals -- are right in step with spring’s seductive wave of see-through shoes. The fantastical creations will be sold in Stuart Weitzman boutiques in New York City and at www.stuartweitzman.com.

So there you have it! Would you put your aisle bound feet into one of these "Clearly Timeless" beauties? I certainly would, especially the peep-toe sling back!
