What's the most unique wedding favor you have ever received? Was it something you could use, reuse, or even plant? Have you used or reused that gift? At my wedding we gave luggage tags. I worked for an airline at the time, and we also had a few out of town guests, so for us this was perfect and our traveling guests loved this notion. It made me feel good to know our particular favors did get used.
If you nodded yes to planting your wedding favor, you'll be able to relate to this beautiful wedding we aresharing with you today, wherein the couple provided plantable favors to their guests! The submission comes to us from Ashley Durance Photography, and she describes what Cara & Sam provided their guests with and other unique eco-friendly details:
Sam & Cara are probably one of the most outdoorsy couples you will ever meet! They've summitted Mt. Baker together, hiked countless mountains, fly fish, kayak, canoe... you name it, this couple does it! So it was only fitting for their wedding to reflect their outdoorsy passions. Complete with hues of green, cuts of logs in their centerpieces, table "numbers" after places they've hiked written on rocks, guest favors of tree saplings... they thought of it all! Their guest book was even a wooden bench that was made for them for their home together!
I love the whole tree sapling as wedding favors! I also love the other details you soon shall see, including what looks to be a knot tying ceremony.
Please enjoy Cara & Sam's Eco-Chic Wedding, captured beautifully by Ashley Durance Photography:
I'm loving it all! So many great ideas for eco-chic seeking brides to be inspired by. The rock "table numbers" is definitely unique. I can imagine using those rocks, after the wedding, as garden decor. By the way, this is the second wedding we've featured with a guestbook bench! Clever idea indeed!
Our thanks to Ashley Durance Photography for this lovely couple's eco-chic submission!
