{Real Weddings} Jennie & Matt's Modernly Vintage DIY Wedding

Modernly Vintage is the best way to describe this lovely wedding from Rebecca Watkins Photography. Yellow, gray & white create the sleek and modern color palette.  Vintage touches are seen all throughout, notably in the styling of the groomsmen attire and in the decor details.  The photography plays on both sides of the Modernly Vintage fence, which we love to see!  Oh, and this wedding is chalk full of DIY decor that the bride made herself!

Rebecca shared with us about Jennie & Matt, and the DIY wedding details:
Matt and Jennie are the perfect example of an e-Harmony success story. They started talking to each other when several states separated them. When they finally met (after Jennie driving 8+ hours in the middle of the night to Pennsylvania), they knew they had to make it work. Everyone seems to be in agreement that there is no one better for Jennie than Matt, and there is no one better for Matt than Jennie. They both have strong personalities, but they fit so perfectly together. Finally after all of the driving over state lines and Skype dates, they can now just be with each other at their home in North Carolina.

This wedding was a DYI lover’s dream. Jennie is an artist and works as an art teacher. She made 90% of the decorations herself, including the hand made paper table assignments, signs, and paper flower bouquets, and the ceramic tea containers. Jennie has opened an online shop to sell paper flower bouquets, ceramics, and more.

Yay, another e-Harmony success story! (My husband and I are as well!) And, this is the second bride I know of that opened an Etsy shop after creating all the DIY decor projects at her wedding!

So sweet & what a fun time for all! The DIY touches are really well done.  I L.O.V.E. the rolled paper flowers seen in the bouquets and at the reception!
