{Real Weddings} Rustic Elegance in Charleston - Part I

We have the pleasure to share with you this gorgeous wedding, photographed by Reese Moore Weddings.  It's rustic, it's elegant, it's delightful! I don't know what I love more: the bride's lovely lace gown, the dreamy color palette, the private island ceremony, the unique tradition of jumping the broom, the dance party reception, the numerous candids-it's all so fabulous!

I wanted to split this feature into two parts to highlight the ceremony by itself, and then the fun reception full of great details, and amazing candids that Reese took.

Please enjoy the private island ceremony of Raquel & Gerard, captured by Reese Moore Weddings:

I think to have been a guest at this ceremony, it had to have felt like a dream.  Everyone crosses the bridge to find their seat, the bridal party makes their way, the adorable flower/bell girl rings the bell that the bride is coming, the ring/broom bearer proudly carries the broom, then the bride crosses the bridge, making her way to her awaiting groom on the little island.  To me it sounds like something out of a storybook, and it so beautiful to see! This is a first to feature the tradition of jumping the broom, as well.  I love unique ceremony traditions like that.

A detail I love are the aisle lanterns filled with baby's breath! Such a sweet little touch to the setting, that might easily be overlooked, but when noticed is a delight to see.

To view the fun reception to follow, please continue to Part II.
