With every styled shoot I receive, I'm driven more and more to get behind one myself, and either simply observe, or contribute to the styling. It's one of my goals in life, and what I would give for an opportunity! When teams come together to collaborate, they are able to identify a main theme, find all the ways to pull it off with the different talents involved, and do so wonderfully. It's not just vendors getting together and showing up. It's vendors collaborating and working together for one main purpose, to produce a unified vision to inspire others. It's also a great way for vendors to refer each other when they are out in the field with clients.
One such collaborative group of wedding vendors that came together as a team produced what we are able to drool over today in this gorgeous winter wedding styled shoot! It is just exquisite! Lacoya Heggiefrom Miraculous Events submitted this to us, and are ever so glad she did! I mean, there is a gold chevron cake, there are gorgeous flowers, stunning dresses, pin-worthy tablescapes full of pine cones and ornaments, snowflake topped cupcakes... it's all fabulous!
You just have to see it for yourself! So, enough of my bantering, please enjoy this Dazzling Wintertime Wedding, captured by Terri Baskin Photography:
Lovely, lovely, lovely! I love every frame. I don't know where to begin, but I shall start with the top:
The bridesmaid dresses are perfect for this wintry affair, as is the bride's gown! I love that lace cover up seen in the first few images-it almost looks like two different dresses. It's a way to be covered just enough for the ceremony, and then remove it for the party. Of course one could keep it on for the entire day, as well.
The color palette of pastels seen in the flowers, mixed with the dark branches (manzanita, maybe?) and pine cones is gorgeous. I really like the centerpiece ensemble of large pine cones, gold and white ornaments, then alternating their mini versions at each setting. It's a great example of a simple decor theme that can be pulled off in many different ways for other themed gatherings.
The dessert buffet is over the top in the delicious category! As mentioned earlier, the gold chevron cake is the star, IMO, and while simple in design, it stands out beautifully. The little details like the snowflake cookies on the cupcakes, the pirouettes in the egg nog, and the hot chocolate mixes in mason jars really win me over with inspiration. The white rock candy crystals used on the cake plate, pictured holding the cupcakes and cake pops, helps continue to drive the winter theme, which I adore! You almost miss it, and then you see it, and maybe say "awww" like I did, as you realize the sweets are nestled in snowflakes.
Our thanks to Lacoya at Miraculous Events for submitting this gorgeous styled shoot our way, and to all vendors whom participated. Bravo to each and every one of you! Everything seen here is listed below in the list of vendors.
