This week has been a week of boudoir sessions! It's great to see the varying styles of boudoir that women are seeking and creating. Whether it's pin-up style, rockabilly, frilly lace or glam, women are dolling themselves up and inspiring others to do the same.
Today's featured boudoir comes from Greensboro, North Carolina photographer Nicolette with A Hoot To Shoot-what a fun name! Maranda, the model, is a stunning beauty with gorgeous blond locks and mesmerizing eyes. Nicolette shares some insight into this special shoot:I've known Maranda for a few years and met through mutual friends who were sisters, and we lost contact for a while. We reconnected through Facebook last year and paired up this year to do Boudoir Photography. Maranda would help our girls feel amazing for their sessions by doing hair and make-up, and kept saying "I want to do this so bad, I want to do a session" so we arranged for that to happen one day. Of course she was a natural in front of the camera. I kept telling her through the session how amazing she was doing, but I don't think she fully comprehended her own beauty. When I gave her the results of her session, she was amazed at herself.. and that's why I love doing Boudoir.
Every woman should take that time to indulge in a session as a reminder- you are a beautiful being that possesses what you sometimes forget you have.
That last note really hits home to me, and it might for others as well. This is why I love to feature boudoir shoots because it is photographers inspiring and empowering women to show off the beauty that we all do possess. Not just so the men and women in our lives might enjoy, but for us to enjoy the results ourselves and reflect upon as a beautiful reminder.
Please enjoy Maranda's session, captured by beautifully by A Hoot To Shoot:
