Are you lovelies in for a treat today! This wedding has everything beautiful and magical that one might expect a wedding in the French Quarter district of New Orleans to have. The submission comes to us from Jeneen Bellizzi O'Toole of Belle Tulle Events. We are so glad they reached out so that our eyes might fall upon the stunning imagery of a well put together wedding.
It wouldn't be a New Orleans wedding without aspects of the historic city peeking through, like Jackson Square, gorgeous homes with those amazing balconies, and cobblestone alleys. I've been to NOLA and fell in love with all of these elements and more, so seeing a sophisticated wedding take place surrounded by such beauty really makes the heart pitter patter-at least for me!
Jeneen share with us a bit about Kim & Brian, and their classy southern fête:
Kim & Brian met in pharmacy school at Ole Miss and their relationship became romantic after interning together. They had their first date at an art museum, so they decided to set THE DATE at another beautiful museum, The Cabildo in New Orleans’ French Quarter. Above Jackson Square, Kim & Brian said their vows surrounded by 100 guests and grand portraits of American historic figures. During the ceremony, the couple had a water ceremony, where water was brought from each of their parents’ homes, combined and blessed, to be used at the christening of their first child.
While the guests were cocktailing on the southern signature Firefly Arnold Palmer, the couple took photos in the Square and the ceremony room was flipped into the reception hall. Kim & Brian requested lots of dancing, white linens, blush colored peonies, mercury glass, and vintage touches to accentuate the classy-vintage Southern vibe they wanted. Kim polished off her look with pearls, sparkle, a ruffled gown, and fresh gardenias in her hair. The groom requested yummy cupcakes and the bride coveted a lace three layer cake from Shake Sugary. The guests feasted on New Orleans fare (lots of seafood!) prepared fresh on-site by New Orleans Catering.
The new Mr. & Mrs. ended their reception with a traditional parade of guests to the New Orleans Second Line, and surrounded by a sea of sparklers, they were whisked off to their honeymoon on the Amalfi Coast.
Please, sit back with your glass of Firefly Arnold Palmer, and enjoy Kim & Brian's Fanciful French Quarter Wedding, submitted by Belle Tulle Events, photographed by Sison Photography:
Amazing! I love it all: the bride's gown, the bridesmaid dresses, the monte carlo blue and blush pink color palette, the unique water ceremony, the sweet decoration in the reception, that cake is divine, and finishing the night with a parade...formidable! Such a classy, elegant affair. If you are planning to wed in NOLA, let this be an inspiration to you. To everyone else, let this wedding be an obsession for you.
Our sincere thanks to Jeneen from Belle Tulle Events for this fabulous submission!
