{Real Weddings} Sara & Patrick's Shabby Chic Farm Wedding

I love hearing when couples put a lot into their weddings. Typically we hear of brides and grooms making the decor elements, but rarely do we hear of couples brewing beer and cultivating wine for their weddings! That's not only planning, its knowing the process to make sure that the libations will be ready in time for the grand event.

Photographer Chris Malpass explains about the couple's involvement in their wedding:
This beautiful shabby chic farm wedding was styled by the bride herself, with burlap, sunflowers, hay bales, and buttercups. Sara designed and decorated everything for the wedding with the help of her bridesmaids and close family. Patrick, an avid home brewer, brewed beer and fermented wine for the event to augment their selection of libations.

Their beautiful celebration was as perfect as any spring day could be, complete with a little rain shower during their vows to drive home the romance. It was a full day of enjoying family, celebrating young love, and making memories that will last a lifetime.

What a beautiful spring wedding! I love Sara's beautiful lace gown.  The first image is breathtaking seeing all the detailing down the length of the gown.  Although it was rainy, the image of Sara hidden behind the umbrella with her cat at her feet is too cute! The flowy bridesmaid dresses are lovely too in that light sage hue.

Regarding the DIY details, those little birdhouses are adorable! I like the cuts of lumber used as signs, like listing the beers made and the wish note.  By the way, "I married a blonde" is a great blonde beer name!

Thanks to Chris Malpass Photo for this beautiful couple's springtime wedding submission!
