We have a gorgeous wedding to share with you today, from one of our friends to the blog, Hilary Cam Photography. The vibe is sleek and modern, and completely beautiful. This lovely couple did have a very vintage inspired engagement session, circa 1920's, which we also shared a few months back. You can check out that goodness here after you've seen this wedding, or before, as the two settings are polar opposites, which is fun to see.
Hilary explains to us what transpired on this gorgeous couple's wedding day:We learnt that Ben had organised a surprise engagement party for Bianca so that only moments after proposing to her they strolled into a bar in Balmain, which erupted in congratulations. Luckily Bianca had said yes!
Bianca’s engagement ring, designed by Ben, joins with to her wedding ring – a tricky little diamond piece that snaps together like a puzzle. Ben’s wedding band likewise has a personal touch from Bianca – the exterior is moulded with her fingerprint.
The boys got ready high above the city in World Tower, and the ceremony was at St Francis Xavier in Lavender Bay. We had location photos down at Watt Park in Lavender Bay – but whereas a regular couple would simply have had their wedding cars drive them the next leg to the reception – Ben and Bianca’s bridal party set out on a boat! We cruised along Sydney harbour, giving the bridal party a chance to sit back and relax, take in the views… plus a little champagne.
Their reception was at The Harbourview Ballroom in Taronga Park Zoo which has sweeping views of the city and distant sounds of animals. The guests danced the night away.
Please enjoy Bianca & Ben's gorgeous wedding, captured beautifully by Hilary Cam Photography:
Just beautiful! I love everything from the getting ready images for both the bride and the groom, the sweet church setting, the boat ride across Sydney Harbor and the venue at the zoo. Love seeing that random image of a giraffe, by the way! Makes one say "did I just see a giraffe at that wedding"?!
Bianca's dress is gorgeous. The detailing on the bodice, and then how it becomes sheer towards the bottom is just lovely. Their wedding rings are beautiful and I appreciate Hilary sharing about them. I love the concept of the fingerprint on the wedding band for the groom, and the puzzle piece fitting of the engagement ring with the wedding bands for the bride.
I must point out, to see the Sydney Opera House as seen from within the harbor is pretty cool in our books. It's like being on a boat on La Seine in Paris, passing by the Eiffel Tower. I believe it is always great to capture images of the landmarks in the cities where weddings happen, whether the couple resides there or not.
Our thanks to again to Hilary Cam Photography for sending this gorgeous couple's engagement session & wedding!
