{DIY} Sweet Orange After Sun Scrub

I have a confession to make...I'm obsessed with Essential Oils! Anyone else with me? They are coming in so useful for everyday things, including DIY beauty treats! In the past few weeks I've made different scrubs, bath soaks, body butter, and most recently I've dabbled in soap making! I can't wait to share all these DIYs with you!

Today I'm sharing this easy to put together DIY that is just in time for Mother's Day, for any occasion really. This would be great to take on a honeymoon, as it is an after-sun scrub, but it doesn't have to be used for that purpose, it just helps with sun kissed skin! The fragrance is so yummy, too! I made this for my mother-in-law whom summers and suns in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, so this is perfect for her.

Ingredients you'll need:
Sugar
Sea Salt
Carrier Oil -I chose Coconut Oil, but you can try Olive Oil, or whatever you have on hand
Orange Zest

Supplies:
Wooden Popsicle Stick/Stir Stick

Notice I didn't put any measurements. This I had to eyeball it all. I wanted to fill this cute little jar I picked up at Target, so I started with 2 Tbl sea salt, 1 Tbl sugar, 1 Tbl coconut oil. It wasn't enough, so I continued kind of 2-1 ratio with the dry ingredients. I stirred and stirred until the desired consistency was met, probably 6 Tbl salt, 4 Tbl sugar give or take.  If too dry, add a little bit more oil as you wish, but not to make it soupy.

After you've got your texture, stir in the orange zest, and then top off with 20-30 drops of your Orange Essential Oil. And that's it! What a sweet gift for a sun worshiper, for a bride getting ready to head out on her honeymoon, or make this for yourself! Enjoy your Sweet Orange After Sun Scrub!
