Photographer Marianne Barta shared some of the details from Andrea & Scott's day:
Scott and Andrea are from Ohio and chose to have a destination wedding. They wanted a stress free day and away from Ohio's February weather. A more intimate wedding with close friends and family was also very important to them. Scott's family often visits Englewood, Florida so there was no question on where the wedding should be held. Despite a bit of wind the weather was absolutely gorgeous for a wedding. A short and sweet ceremony that followed a fun reception across the street at the Gulf View Grill finished the night off.
Andrea ordered and made all the reception decor. She had touches of blue and gold that was perfect for a beach wedding. Many of her ideas she found on Pinterest. I am also from Ohio and have met Scott and Andrea through mutual friends. When they asked me to photograph their wedding I was ecstatic. It was a true honor to photograph their destination wedding.

I do love the sweet simplicity of Andrea and Scott's wedding. I like the sign at the entry to the ceremony stating "shoes optional", so relaxing and carefree, just the way they wanted.
The details in the reception are really sweet. I like the "take one" sign for the favors, and the "cards" sign using what looks like a wooden trunk, which does fit the beach theme. The slight touch of seashells works too, the overall theme looks simple and elegant-always a good rule to follow.
I can never get enough of sunset pics...these turned out gorgeous! For me I like seeing images a bride and groom walking away from the camera, hand in hand, towards the setting sun, it sends a message of there they go, off into the sunset, the start of their new life.
Our many thanks to Marianne at Black Box Photography for sending Andrea and Scott's wedding our way!
