Styled Shoot: Vibrant Day Of The Dead Wedding Styled Shoot

Jasmine Star Styled Wedding Shoot, Day of the Dead, The Saguaro Scottsdale, Babydoll Weddings Hair and Makeup
Happy Wedding Wednesday! Although we don't have a wedding to share today, we do have another gorgeous styled shoot to share with you, captured by the amazing talents of world renowned photographer Jasmine Star! We featured another shoot of hers on Monday, that boasted a rustic chic desert styled wedding. If you missed that, check it out here.  My dear friend Sabrina, with Babydoll Weddings, and stylist Avery, were there providing their amazing hair and makeup skills! The setting was at The Saguaro Hotel, a trendy and colorful hotel in the heart of Downtown Scottsdale, Arizona.

This shoot is quite different than the rustic chic styled shoot, which had natural earthy tones and elements throughout. As you soon shall see, this shoot is bold, colorful, and plays on the Day of the Dead theme, which is quite unique!

I present to you now this Vibrant Day of the Dead Wedding Styled Shoot, captured by Jasmine Star:

How beautiful and fun was that?! So vibrant and eye catching to view upon. The Saguaro Hotel is already set up with the festive color backgrounds, which I love! Turquoise, fuchsia, orange, blue and yellow are easy to come by, and work so well.

I love the unique alter set up, with the fireplace filled with candles and cacti, the paper picado banners adorning the mantle, the sweet tissue paper flowers, and using the different colored lace down the aisle. I'd love to see that in person, wouldn't you? It's so cheerful!

I totally love the use of the Dia de los Muertos skulls throughout. That's a fun touch! If you have folks coming in from out of town, they would get a kick out of that! Have a photobooth station set up with different masks for people to have fun with. Having maracas as favors for your guests is a great idea as well! Instead of hitting the fork on the glass when people want the couple to kiss, all can shake the maracas!

The bride's gown is gorgeous, and I think it's perfectly OK to wear black down the aisle. It's a stunning dress, and whether or not it's for a Day of the Dead themed wedding, it must be worn! I love her updo to go with it. It's classy, and that side curl gives a little drama to the overall look.

I can't say enough how honored I am to have had the opportunity to feature two styled shoots  captured by Jasmine Star.  I'm also thrilled to feature my friend Sabrina's talented wedding hair and makeup team! Job well done to all involved in both collaborations!
